We Provide a Hands-on, Real World Approach to the Job Search
Stanley Witkow has been providing guidance on resumes, interviewing
and networking since the early 1990’s. Following a series of successful job searches--and understanding the challenges and stress that is part of the transition process, Stan decided that the best way to show his appreciation for all of those who
helped him in his search was to offer the benefits of his own experience to
others who found themselves in transition.
He never turns down a request to have a cup of coffee with someone in
transition.
Having learned transition skills first
hand and through numerous courses, lectures and study,
and seeing the successful results of his clients, he brings experience
and a real world approach to the job search and career transition.
Unlike some of the larger outplacement operations, each client’s needs
are treated as unique, so the job search strategies and training are always
tailored for the individual.
A lawyer by training, Stan has spent most of his career
as a general counsel and human resources principal in fast-paced technology companies. Most recently he was general counsel to a $9B
subsidiary of GE Capital. He has been
recruiting and managing professionals for more than 20 years. Since 2004 he has operated a consulting practice
which helps people who find themselves in dispute situations, emphasizing
mediation and other problem-solving techniques.
He is an active SCORE counselor, providing counsel and guidance to small
businesses. He takes a practical, hands-on
approach to problems, analyzing situations, focusing on attainable goals and
then developing strategies to achieve them.
That tactic has proved highly successful in the resolution of disputes
and the achievement of business success.
With the recent downturn in the economy, he has found that the same
techniques are remarkably well-suited to help individuals in transition.
Stan’s practice as a lawyer, both in-house and in private
practice, as well as being the executive responsible for human resources in a
number of fast-paced technology companies, has made him familiar with all
aspects of the employment arena, including the successful recruitment of
outstanding candidates into troubled and challenging businesses, the retention
of key employees during business downturns, the design and implementation of
staff reductions, and the negotiation of individual separation programs. Currently he is providing consulting services
to small businesses, providing them with the benefits of professional
recruitment experience that they might not otherwise be able to access.
